The Crash...

This is the left hand side of the car, it took most of the force so it was good that nobody was riding on either passenger sides of the vehicle.
Notice in this picture just how far I am from the road in the far right of the picture and I am now facing the opposite direction then what I was heading.

So lets just I will be extremely great full when September is OVER!!! This month has been the most stress filled month of my life and I don't ever want to repeat it again! The worst of the events was on September 19th We were on our way to town I was in the excursion with both kids and Jarom was in front of me in the truck, we were headed into town to fix my broken tooth (see bad month) when I lost control of the SUV in high loose gravel, going 50mph around a curve over corrected and rolled the car in the ditch. Now it is a blessing I went in the ditch, although it would have been better if I just went in the ditch and didn't roll the car. Apparently there was a car coming, which I couldn't see because of all the dust (gravel roads) I would have hit her head on, and she was in a small car and had two little kids with her, she would have been really hurt! Another factor that we think added to the crash was the fact that my tire popped, we are not exactly sure when it happened but we think that may have actually caused the crash. When I realized the car was going to roll, alot of things went through my mind, but the main thing was "Oh no the kids the kids" I tried to look back to make sure they were alright but instead I got hit in the face with our big CD case. So when the car stopped I caught my breath and felt my face to make sure it wasn't bleeding, it wasn't. Then I turned to look at the kids, I was dreading that moment, thinking that they would be beat up and covered in blood or un conscious. But both kids were perfectly fine!!! I could believe it, I was so overwhelmed that they where OK. Harlynn happened to be in the middle seat with her rear facing car seat. When we rolled somehow her seat belt either broke or came undone, the seat belt that holds the car seat in place. And she ended up by me still in her car seat but up on the middle console. She started to whipper so I took her out of her car seat and held her, not knowing I was covered in glass at the time. This is when jarom came upon the scene, expecting the worse but so glad to find us all OK. He had been driving in front of me at the time and didn't see any of it, because of all the dust. He got a strong impression that something was very very wrong and to turn around right now. Thankfully he listened and got to the scene quickly and called 911. During the roll over the back of my seat broke and when i landed it hit me very forcefully in the lower back. I was in lots of pain. Two ambulances arrived and a fire truck, the fire truck came to make sure the car wasn't leaking any gas or going to catch on fire since it rolled. The first paramedics quickly checked over the kids and then the paramedics and the firemen got me out of the car and onto a stretcher were they put a neck brace on my and strapped me down to the gurney. They got me into the ambulance and took me to the local hospital, where the did tons of xrays, and an ultra sound because they were worried about internal bleeding, and they thought because of how much pain I was in my kidney might have ruptured. Neither of these things were the case, I stayed over night and the next day they took my blood and sent me home. At home I tried to rest and sleep and recover. The next morning which happened to be Friday, which was the day I was supposed to be decorating for my cousin Maddie's wedding that was happening on Saturday, I was to be in charge of all of the decorating and had been planning for months. Well that morning the doctor called and said my blood work came back very bad and I need to get to the big hospital in lethbridge for a cat scan to see if i had internal bleeding, which they were really worried about my liver and kidney on my right side. The liver test cam back at 401 normal is under 200 . So off to lethbridge we went and the cat scan came back as normal. So they sent me home again. We made it to the reception decorating for about an hour were I sat in a wheel chair and gave some guidance. The next day was the big wedding and I was able to go to , in a wheel chair but I was there anyway. In between wedding events I had to once again go to the hospital for blood work, which came back high again. So the doctors chalked this all up to some contusions on my liver and kidney where the seat back had hit me. I am so so thankfully it was nothing more. My mom came Monday night and stayed with me though Saturday. And we are so thankful for here and all the help she gave me with the house chores and kids, since I am not supposed to lift them. We are VERY grateful that the kids were okay, and we are praying that wrangler forgets the accident soon. He wakes up every night screaming and crying since the accident and talking about how the car "rolled up" and mommies "owies" we pray this doesn't last long. We are also very grateful for all the paramedics and fireman that were quick to respond as well as the many people who stopped while driving by. One of them even being a nurse and ended up being my nurse the next day, and taking wonderful care of me. We are also VERY grateful for Jaroms parents, it would have been very difficult for us to go through this with out them. They helped watch the kids for five days, and even took care of my. Its safe to say our parents our some of our greatest blessings in our lives and in our kids lives. Anyway recovery is slow and the doctor says it may take six months for me to feel completely well again. But I am grateful to be a live and with my husband and two kids who are happy and healthy!
